The closing week of May following Memorial Day includes another national championship event on the PGA Tour. The RBC Canadian Open 2024 event and field includes world No. 3 Rory McIlroy as the two-time event winner and prohibitive favorite on the PGA odds board.
The field features a record 28 Canadiens teeing it up in their home country with 14 representing Ontario. Last year’s dramatic playoff victory was by Canadian Nick Taylor after he holed a 72-foot eagle putt to win over Tommy Fleetwood and become the first Canadian since 1954 to win the event.
“I think it’s a tournament that we’ve circled on our calendar since probably junior golf,” Taylor said following his historic win.
