Rd 15 squad selection: Experienced Bombers in the mix to return

Must read

Essendon has named four potential inclusions to its round 15 team to take on West Coast.

Sunday’s Marvel Stadium clash could see a host of senior Dons make their respective returns.

Ruckman Sam Draper headlines the potential inclusions having not played since Anzac Day’s draw with Collingwood. The 25-year-old has enjoyed a thorough recovery process following knee surgery post round seven.

Defender Mason Redman has been named to potentially return and bolster the Bombers’ backline after missing the Dons’ round 13 clash against Carlton with a hamstring injury.

Wingman Xavier Duursma has successfully completed his rehab from a quad injury and may lineup for his first game since round eight.

Exciting first-year forward Nate Caddy has also been named in the potential inclusions for Sunday. The 18-year-old was impressive in his return game from illness, booting three goals and taking six marks in wet conditions during Essendon VFL’s come-from-behind win against Carlton.

The one confirmed change to the Bombers’ side is the omission of second-year midfielder Elijah Tsatas

Essendon will announce its round 15 team tomorrow at 5pm EST.
