NCHSAA basketball: Kings Mountain’s Bradley Floyd, Tucker Robinette
Kings Mountain basketball standouts Bradley Floyd and Tucker Robinette discuss their team’s early success during the 2023-24 season.
Summer may have only just begun, but buzz around Kings Mountain basketball junior standout Bradley Floyd is steadily gathering steam.
In recent weeks, the 6-foot-5 combo guard’s recruitment has kicked into high gear, with Floyd receiving a handful of offers. The most notable of those came Sunday, however, as Florida State — coached by Gastonia native Leonard Hamilton — offered the local phenom.
The Seminoles are the first ACC program to join in pursuit of Floyd. In addition to Florida State, he holds offers from Appalachian State, Charlotte, Hampton and Stetson.
Such comes on the heels of an impressive sophomore campaign in which Floyd was named Big South 3A and state Basketball Coaches Association (NCBCA) District 10 Player of the Year. Floyd averaged just shy of 20 points per game with 7.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.7 steals. Kings Mountain finished the 2023-24 season with a 21-7 record.
The Mountaineer hoops standout will begin his junior campaign nearing several career milestones, including points (942), rebounds (354), assists (193) and steals (94).
