The Texas A&M and Texas Tech men’s basketball teams are finalizing a deal to play a nonconference game this season in Fort Worth, according to collegehoopstoday.net’s Jon Rothstein.
The game will be played Dec. 8 at Dickies Arena and will be part of a lineup that will include another men’s game along with two women’s games.
The schools last year announced an upcoming home-and-home series with the first game in Lubbock’s United Supermarkets Arena in 2024 and the return game at Reed Arena in ’25, but Rothstein reported that series has been postponed.
The former conference foes last played on Feb. 14, 2012, with A&M grabbing a 47-38 victory in Lubbock. It was A&M’s sixth straight victory in the series.
