Australian Boomers star Joe Ingles is headed to Minnesota on a one-year deal, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting.
Ingles is set to reunite with former Utah Jazz teammates Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley at the Timberwolves, who fell to the Dallas Mavericks during the Western Conference Finals of the most recent NBA season.
The 36-year-old made 68 appearances with the Orlando Magic across the 2023/2024 campaign, averaging 4.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 17 minutes of action.
He previously spent a season with the Milwaukee Bucks, after eight years with the Jazz.
Ingles is part of the Boomers’ 17-man squad for Paris, where he is hoping to represent his country for a fifth time at an Olympic tournament.
The Boomers will be in action on Thursday night against China at John Cain Arena, with the game live on ESPN from 7.30pm AEST.
