The wife of Bachelor star Jimmy Nicholson has revealed the pair’s private struggle with infertility in the hope their story helps another family going through a similar experience.
Holly Kingston opened up about her journey to fall pregnant, revealing the moment she and her husband’s lives changed forever was an “overwhelming” struggle.
Kingston, who met her future husband on season nine of the popular TV show, took to Instagram on Monday with raw and emotional words, saying, “Nothing worth having comes easy”.
“Our journey to this positive result certainly wasn’t a walk in the park. Nothing could’ve prepared us for the lack of control, the pressure, the disappointment and overwhelming isolation that we felt,” she wrote.
“Every time we saw one of these posts, no matter how happy we wanted to be for those on the receiving end … it stung.
Kingston told her 158,000 followers that she wanted to share the couple’s struggle to help others feel heard.“Whilst we were struggling through this privately, we made a promise to ourselves that if / when we do eventually get pregnant, we will acknowledge on here that it wasn’t as easy as we had anticipated… in the hopes it might make some feel less alone,” she wrote.“For those looking at this right now experiencing infertility or loss, we see you & from the bottom of our hearts, we hope a little miracle comes your way too.”
Her sincere words were accompanied by a teary-worthy video that captured the moment Kingston told Nicholson she was growing a baby bump.
It sees Nicholson break down in tears of happiness as the couple hug and kiss before sharing the news with their cat.
The post was soon filled with heartwarming and supportive comments from fans and friends.
Gogglebox Australia star Matty Fahd said: “So beautiful, guys. I’m glad I’m not the only bloke who stared at the test for 2 minutes wondering where it said “pregnant”.
Influencer and fellow Bachelor star Carlie Hodges said: “I can’t watch this without crying! 😭 But I keep watching it!”
TikTok personalities Ben and Zara commented: “❤️❤️❤️”.
The TV stars announced their pregnancy on Sunday night.
The couple, who found love on the reality series in 2021, officially tied the knot in a stunning Sydney wedding last year.
They wed at Jimmy’s parent’s house in Palm Beach, with Holly opting for an elegant white gown while Jimmy donned a white suit jacket.
