A rider and his passenger who died when a car turned in front of a motorcycle convoy in Sydney’s west have been identified.
William Brown, 26, and his pillion passenger Doey Choi, 24, were thrown metres across the road when a Toyota Carolla allegedly turned at the intersection of the Hume Highway and Worth Street, Greenacre, about 7pm on Tuesday.

Paramedics treated the pair, however, they died at the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition. He is now serious but stable.
On Wednesday, NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Brett McFadden said early investigations indicate “neither (drivers) should have been on the road” as Brown was a provisional rider and shouldn’t have had a passenger and the Toyota driver was suspended.
“We have a situation where both the rider and the driver should not have been in that situation, and this reflects the ongoing challenge that NSW Police have,” McFadden said.
“The frustration comes from knowing that this was preventable.”
McFadden said the speed of the motorcycle rider was a “significant contributing factor”.
The pair had been riding in a convoy of up to 40 motorcyclists en route to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair in inner Sydney. McFadden claims just “two or three” in the convoy stopped to help following the crash.
“The lack of the human factor on the other members of the group is reprehensible,” he added.
Worth Street was closed between the Hume Highway and Muir Road as police launched an investigation.
