Samsung Makes A New Storage Offer To Galaxy S24 Buyers

Must read

After slashing the price of the Galaxy Watch FE, Samsung is continuing the deals by discounting its Galaxy S24 Ultra handset.

The Korean company has revived its double storage offer from May, which drops the price of the two highest Galaxy S24 Ultra storage options. That means buyers can pick up the 512GB model for the price of the 256GB unit ($1299.99), or the 1TB model for the price of the 512GB option ($1419.99). Saving $120 in both cases. The deal only applies to three colorways; green, blue and orange.

The new promotion has been combined with enhanced trade-in prices that top out at $750 for your old phone. As ever, to get the maximum pay out you will need to hand over the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is not worth doing. It has several more years of software support left and most of the latest Galaxy AI features.

But there are some good trade-in deals here. Samsung values your Galaxy S21 Ultra at $550, which is an impressive price considering it won’t be getting most of the Galaxy AI feature suite. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is selling on eBay and Swappa for under $200 right now. If you’re an S21 owner and you want to try some of Samsung’s AI tech, this is a solid deal and a worthy upgrade.

Similarly, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is valued at $600. Another high price for a phone that is selling for much less on the secondary market. The difference here is that the Galaxy S22 is receiving most of the Galaxy AI suite of tools and has between two and three years of software support left. It’s a bit of a Goldilocks phone because of its low price and new AI features, so if you have one, I’d say hold it.

Interestingly, Samsung values the iPhone 15 Pro Max at only $600, less than the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Typically the Korean company overvalues iPhones for trade-in because it has a long-term strategy of trying to tempt Apple users. I doubt that strategy has changed, rather the uneven trade-in prices are just part of the natural deals and promotions cycle that sees these values fluctuate.

Elsewhere, Samsung is gearing up for its Galaxy Unpacked launch on July 10th where it will announce new foldable phones, watches, earbuds and the highly anticipated Galaxy Ring. The company has already teased some of its upcoming deals with a promise of $1500 savings off a “new Galaxy device” when pre-ordered. Stay tuned for more deals by hitting the follow button below.
