Saturday Horse Racing Tips & Best Bets [June 29, 2024]

Must read

Check out our tips and best bets for Saturday’s racing at Eagle Farm, Caulfield, Rosehill, Belmont and Morphettville Parks on June 29, 2024.

Our Caulfield tips below are courtesy of Katelyn Mallyon – you can check out her best bets here as well.

BEST BETS

Caulfield Race 10 No.6 Chorlton Lane

Talented horse coming off a let-up after a good win here six weeks ago. The form looks good out of that race and he trialled well. Should be hard to beat in this.

Celine Gaudray (54.5kg)
Ciaron Maher
4yoG (b) Mehmas x Asmeen

Eagle Farm Race 6 No.7 Knight’s Choice

Youth versus experience here and the one with most upside is Knight’s Choice (7) which beat all but Fawkner Park in a Group 2 last start. A promising four-year-old he steps up to 2400m for the first time, meets a field of mainly ageing journeymen and can stamp his credentials.

Robbie Dolan (56.5kg)
J & S Symons & Laxon
4yoG (b) Extreme Choice x Midnight Pearl

Rosehill Race 7 No.3 Bold Mac

Rowley Mile winner Bold Mac has finished on the podium and 16 of his 37 starts, that’s eight wins and eight placings by the way, one of them was a second in last year’s W J McKell Cup. As for his 2024 build-up, he was one of the best 13th’s you would see in the Scone Cup and was in my opinion, the Black Booker out of the Ruby Flyer race at Randwick on June 8.

Rory Hutchings (56kg)
Chris Waller
6yoG (b) The Bold One x Mrs Mac

BEST VALUE

Caulfield Race 8 No.4 Celestial Storm

Fleetwood will be hard to beat however this horse is coming off a freshen up after a good performance at Sandown. Looked sharp in a recent jumpout and should be well prepared by stable to run well.

Jye McNeil (56.5kg)
R & M Griffiths & De Kock
3yoF (b) Zoustar x Sebring Dream

Eagle Farm Race 8 No.2 Semana

Ciaron Maher freshened Semana (2) after narrow defeats in two Group 1s during the Sydney Autumn and was never on the track in the Stradbroke when having her first outing for nine weeks. Her best efforts come second-up, a good gate helps and Dylan Gibbons can get the breakthrough.

Dylan Gibbons (57kg)
Ciaron Maher
4yoM (ch) Winning Rupert x Festivity

Rosehill Race 8 No.1 King Of Florida

King Of Florida should hopefully be able to make his long-waited and much anticipated (for me anyway) Australian debut after having a couple of previous races washed-out. So with that said, I will say again what I said twice before; for what it is worth, I think this lightly-raced English miler will make the grade down here. If he was mine, I would be setting him for The Gong this year and The Big Dance the next.

Rory Hutchings (60.5kg)
Chris Waller
4yoG (br) No Nay Never x Balankiya
