Must read

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious four-vehicle traffic crash at Doonan last night, July 9.

Initial investigations indicate just before 6pm, a black Holden Rodeo was travelling south on Walter Hay Drive when it veered across the centre lines and sideswiped a black Audi S3 travelling in the opposite direction.

The impact caused the Audi to spin into the southbound lane where it collided with a white Hyundai Palisade, which had been travelling south.

The Holden continued into the northbound lane where it was involved in a head-on collision with a black Ford Ranger, which had been travelling north.

The driver of the Holden, a 21-year-old Sunrise Beach man, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 63-year-old Noosaville man, was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
