Channel Seven’s brand new renovating reality program, Dream Home, hosted by Dr Chris Brown, has scored impressive audience numbers for its debut last night, securing a spot as the number one entertainment program for Sunday.
The show had an impressive reach of 2.25 million viewers, with a national audience of 950,000, making it the biggest new program to debut in 2024 — it was also Seven’s biggest new program launch in two years, according to the Network.
Dream Home sees six pairs of everyday Aussies battle it out room by room, to transform suburban homes into “dream homes,” transforming each other’s tired old houses into astonishing new properties.
Following the renovations, the competition’s top three placing couples will have the chance for their backyards to be completely made over, with the overall series winner receiving a cash prize of 100,000.
Judging the homes are expert judges, Lana Taylor of Three Birds Renovations, top buyer’s agent and star of Luxe Listings Australia Simon Cohen and award-winning interior designer Rosie Morley.
“It’s been such a pleasure to play host to these amazing couples who sacrifice so much to see the home they’ve only ever dreamed of, become a reality,” Brown said via his Instagram on Sunday.
“(The show is) heartfelt, funny and features some genuinely mind-blowing renovations.”
It was a big night for Seven all round on Sunday, with 7NEWS boasting a national reach of 2.32 million, and a national audience of 1.36 million, making it the night’s number-one program.
The Farmer Wants A Wife Reunion was also a hit with fans, with a national reach of 1.67 million, and a national audience 1.05 million.
