Known as the “king of sequins” in the fashion world, London-based and Delhi-born designer Ashish Gupta is an unsurprising addition to Swift’s Era Tour designer lineup.
His talent for transforming sportswear and classic silhouettes into high-glamour pieces translates onto Swift’s Red (2015) era outfits, embodying her anthems to youth and singledom 22, We Are Never Getting Back Together, and I Knew You Were Trouble.
Harking back to slogan tees popular at the time of the album’s 2010 release, Swift dons one of three white, sequin-covered oversized shirts inscribed with different lyrics from her Red.
These include the self-deprecating lyric “Who’s Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew” from We Are Never Getting Back Together. She combines these with a pair of understated (but still bedazzled) black hotpants, another nod to the ultra-short high waisted shorts of the 2010s.
