Andreas Pereira has opened up on his future amid transfer speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Recent reports from Brazil have claimed that Spurs have ‘sounded out’ a potential move with the player’s agent. Pereira has enjoyed a positive season at Fulham having contributed towards 12 goals. His current deal at the Cottagers is set to expire in 2026.
It is claimed that the midfielder had an agreement with Marco Silva to stay at the West London club for two years. However, that time has now passed, leading to speculation over his future.
But the Brazilian has admitted he is not focused on what comes next at this stage as he prepares for this summer’s Copa America with Brazil. The Selecao begin their campaign on June 25 against Costa Rica.
“It’s difficult to talk about the future now, I’m completely focused on the national team. After the title, God willing, I’ll think about my future at the club. I’ll sit down with my agent and decide my future,” said Pereira at a Brazil press conference, via UOL.
Tottenham are likely to need reinforcements in midfield this summer with Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg set to leave. Both players have struggled for starts under Ange Postecoglou and with their contracts coming to an end, Spurs may be tempted to cash in on both players.

As well as midfield, attack is another area which Postecoglou will look to strengthen this summer. “Yeah, absolutely. It’s no secret,” he said after the club’s postseason friendly against Newcastle on May 22.
“You saw the way we finished the season. We obviously lost Richy and Timo as well with injuries but we’re fairly light in that area. We started last season with Manor [Solomon] and [Ivan] Perisic and we were quite healthy in that front third in terms of numbers, but as the year went on it became pretty evident that we need to bulk up.
“We’re in Europe as well next year so we’ll have more games and it’s definitely an area of the park we’ll need to strengthen.”
