A 16-year-old boy is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after an early-morning altercation in Morayfield, north of Brisbane.
Police were called to a Firetail Court address about 12.15am on Saturday after what a police spokesperson described as a “disturbance involving multiple people” at a unit complex.
“Upon arrival, a 16-year-old boy was located with stab wounds,” the spokesperson said.
Two men, aged 19 and 21, received non-life-threatening injuries in the alleged brawl.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said two patients were taken to hospital.
“One male patient in his early teens with multiple significant life-threatening wounds to his chest and abdomen was transported with critical care paramedics to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital,” the QAS spokesperson said.
“One stable male patient in his 20s with a head wound was transported to Caboolture Hospital.
“Two other patients were assessed on the scene with minor injuries and did not require further treatment or transport.”
Investigations were continuing and police appealed for witnesses or “anyone with relevant vision” to come forward.
