Dual-licence holder Steven Pateman is set to make a comeback to racing after an 11-month ban for a cobalt charge dating back to 2017.
With 13 horses in work at his property alongside wife Jess, Pateman could be back in the saddle as soon as this weekend at Sandown’s Sunday jumps meeting.
Expressing relief at returning to what he loves, Pateman praised trainers who looked after his established horses during his absence.
While uncertain about taking rides at Sandown, he and Jess are eager to be there.
Reflecting on missing the Warrnambool May carnival, he admitted it was tough but also fuelled his desire to return.
With excitement for the future, Pateman looks forward to getting back on track.
