Leading elecltric golf trolley brand Stewart Golf has unveiled of a new promotional video that pays homage to the timeless tradition of walking the golf course.

The 90-second video features Ryder Cup legend Sam Torrance and showcases golfers embracing the sport in all weather conditions. Core to the video is a poem that the company says ‘encapsulates the serene and reflective nature of walking the course, and evokes the rhythmic pace of footsteps on the fairway, the changing landscapes, and the quiet moments of contemplation that are an integral part of the golfing experience’.

The concept for this video was envisioned by Stewart Golf CEO Mark Stewart during a shoot in Florida last year. Reflecting on the prevalent use of golf carts in the United States, where 80% of golfers ride, Stewart sought to capture the unique charm and experience of walking the course. He drew inspiration from the iconic 1999 Guinness ‘Surfer’ advertisement and imagined a narrative spoken over scenes of golfers striding across lush fairways.

“While driving away from our shoot location, having seen countless golfers using riding golf carts, I was struck by the idea of highlighting the magic of walking golf,” Stewart recalls. “I pulled over and jotted down a rough six-line poem, which eventually evolved into the final script. In my mind, I could hear Sam Torrance’s melodic Scottish brogue bringing the words to life.”

Torrance’s connection with Stewart Golf dates back to the brand’s inception, endorsing the brand at its launch in 2003.

“This is how golf is meant to be played,” said Torrance. “Walking lets us engage with the course in a truly meaningful way, embracing every sight and sound. Having worked with Stewart Golf since day one, I’m proud to be a part of this video that captures the magic of walking the course.”
