Major Crime detectives have been called in following the death of a five-year-old girl in Adelaide’s west.
Emergency services were called to Ballater Ave in Seaton about 4pm on Wednesday following reports the child was unresponsive.
“The girl was treated here at the scene initially before being taken to hospital where sadly she has died,” a police spokesperson said.

The Major Crime unit will join Western District detectives as they probe the child’s death.
The street has been locked down and police expect they will be at the home“for some time”.
It is understood the girl’s parents are assisting police and no charges have been laid.
The child’s death will be subject to a coronial investigation.
