Suhani Shah: Inside a mentalist’s mind

Must read

Suhani Shah was six years old when she told her parents she wanted to learn magic. She would eventually drop out of school to pursue it full-time.
It’s an uncanny story and Suhani joins us from India to tell it while stressing that magic is a skill and while she started off as an illusionist, it is the mind that is her favourite prop.

She is acutely aware of people who don’t believe in “magic” and openly admits the art form of reading a mind is an intelligent illusion of making someone believe their mind is being read.

Especially for sceptics when they are so sure nobody can read their mind – I agree. Nobody can read your mind. But inspite of nobody being able to read you mind, how does this one mentalist then convince you of the most impossible things happening right in front of you? That is the beauty of the artform.
