Gold Coast ruckman Ned Moyle has signed a four-year extension until the end of the 2028 season.
While the 22-year-old has played just six games, he was linked to moves to Collingwood, St Kilda and Adelaide as most clubs consider him one of the brightest ruck prospects often playing VFL footy.
Even though Moyle is currently behind co-captain Jarrod Witts in the Suns’ pecking order, he told AFL.com.au that he is happy to continue developing under his tutelage as he hopes to soon become a consistent AFL ruckman.
“My aim is to be a consistent AFL ruckman and being able to work with Jarrod and learn all the intricacies of ruck craft off him every day has been an incredible development opportunity that I wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else,” Moyle said.
“Jarrod has been huge on helping me continue to grow as a player and I am excited to continue to work hard for an opportunity to become a regular AFL player.”
Moyle has played four AFL games in 2024, averaging 14 disposals, 31.2 hitouts and 4.2 clearances.
The Oakleigh Chargers/Collingwood VFL product was originally drafted with pick No. 5 in the 2021 Mid-Season Draft.
