“This has all felt like a fairytale for both of us. Our connection and the timing of it all was so unexpected and felt meant to be from the start,” Amurri said about their romance.

“I feel so fortunate to have found the most incredible partner, after really not knowing if marriage was going to be in the cards for me after divorce,” she added to People.

Amurri, who was previously married to Kyle Martino, said her son walked her down the aisle and said they tried to incorporate their love of “family” and “food” into the wedding. She shares three children with her ex.

She also spoke about her stunning wedding dress, which featured a bustier neckline and flowing skirt, and said she “wanted to feel sexy but elegant”.

Amurri changed into a second dress, a minidress and sneakers, for the reception.

Her mother is actress Susan Sarandon, 77, who was in attendance on her daughter’s big day, wearing a colourful floral suit for the occasion.
