A Sydney driver allegedly killed a man by forcefully holding him against a moving vehicle, court documents show.

Bradley Wilkinson, 39, has been charged with the manslaughter of Rhyce Harding, 27, during an alleged road rage attack at Blackett, in Sydney’s west, on Thursday.

Mr Wilkinson faced Parramatta Local Court on Saturday and did not apply for bail.

On Thursday, police said that Mr Harding got out of his car after feeling threatened by a driver following him.

CCTV footage showed a hi-vis clad Mr Harding being dragged from the driver’s window of a moving white utility vehicle.

According to a charge sheet, Mr Wilkinson “intentionally and forcefully” held Mr Harding against the vehicle as it travelled along Jersey Road.

Mr Harding was struck by the utility vehicle about 8.40am, police allege, before he was left to die about 100 metres from his own vehicle.

Officers launched a public appeal for information to help find the driver of the utility vehicle.

Mr Wilkinson handed himself in at Mt Druitt Police Station on Friday morning.

As well as manslaughter, he was charged with dangerous driving causing death, negligent driving occasioning death, and failing to stop and help after a fatal impact.

Mr Wilkinson wore a black hoodie as he appeared before magistrate Leslie Brennan via video link on Saturday.

The defendant spoke only to confirm that prison staff had given him his medication, praising the nurses for their professionalism.

The kind of medication he required was not revealed.

Outside court, Mr Wilkinson’s lawyer, Javid Faiz, offered his condolences to Mr Harding’s family.

“It’s a tragic situation,” Mr Faiz said.

The matter is due to return to court on July 17.
