The Sydney Jewish Museum has reopened after a police operation this morning.
The building in Darlinghurst, in the city’s CBD, had been briefly evacuated, although both the Museum and NSW Police say there was no threat to the public.
“The Sydney Jewish Museum was briefly evacuated this morning, at the recommendation of NSW Police. The Museum is now open and operational again,” the Sydney Jewish Museum said in a statement to 9news.com.au.
“At no time was anyone at the Museum in danger, and the Museum is thankful for the ongoing support of its security team, and the local police.
“The Sydney Jewish Museum remains a safe place for all staff, volunteers and visitors.”
Police had earlier urged people to avoid the area.
