Fremantle have named their 23 to take on Hawthorn at UTAS Stadium on Saturday

Key forward Pat Voss will play his fourth AFL game after being named in Fremantle’s final 23 players to take on Hawthorn at UTAS Stadium on Saturday.

Voss made his AFL debut in the Club’s round seven win over the Western Bulldogs where the 21-year-old kicked his first ever AFL goal during the second quarter.

Voss’ WAFL form for Peel Thunder has been undeniable, with the key forward booting 21 goals from his six games this year, highlighted by his 19 disposals, nine marks and six goals against West Coast at the weekend.

Voss replaces ruckman Sean Darcy who is sidelined under the AFL’s concussion protocols, with Luke Jackson named in the ruck as Darcy’s replacement.

The Club will travel to Tasmania having won the last six meetings with the Hawks by an average margin of 35 points.

The last time the two clubs faced off at UTAS Stadium was in round 17 of 2021, with Fremantle prevailing 62-point victors. That clash was also game 200 for dual Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe.

Midfielder Andrew Brayshaw will look to continue his hot streak of form named on-ball alongside Caleb Serong and Nat Fyfe.

In Brayshaw’s last three games against the Hawks the 24-year-old has averaged 34.6 disposals, 7.3 tackles, 6.6 marks and 1.3 goals per game, polling eight out of a possible nine Brownlow votes.

The teams five-man bench of James Aish, Bailey Banfield, Matthew Johnson, Jeremy Sharp and Michael Walters features the Club’s substitute who will be confirmed an hour before the bounce on Saturday.

The playing group will wear the Club’s 2024 clash Indigenous jumper in commemoration of NAIDOC week, while Serong will lead the side as captain for a second consecutive week in the absence of Alex Pearce.

Will Brodie, Brandon Walker and Liam Reidy have been named as emergencies for the match.

Bouncedown for the clash is at 11.45am WST and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy and will be streamed live on Kayo.
