SEN’s The Run Home hosts Andy Maher and Andrew Gaze have cast their minds forward to give their thoughts on which AFL veterans should play on in 2025.
The duo gave their thoughts on 10 players in the twilight of their careers.

Take it or leave it, Luke Breust should play on in 2025
AM: “Take it.”
AG: “Take it.”
Take it or leave it, Jack Gunston should play on in 2025
AM: “He’s getting better, so I think if you’re making the call now, you’re taking it.
“Gunston and Breust have to be prepared to be sub and if it goes sideways play in the VFL, but if they’re both prepared to do that, then (play on).”
AG: “I’m going to take it.”
Take it or leave it, Travis Boak should play on in 2025
AM: “I love Travis Boak as a player and a human being, but no.”
AG: “I’ll take your advice.”
Take it or leave it, Charlie Dixon should play on in 2025
AM: “No… unless he can get himself in a better nick than he is now, not from a weight perspective but doing what he needs to be able to do.”
AG: “One more go around.”
Take it or leave it, Dayne Zorko should play on in 2025
AM: “I’m taking that, he’s flying. He’s found a spot. This is the difference, Dixon still needs to be the man who demands the footy, he can’t be the 2nd or 3rd… whereas Zorko has found himself behind the footy and it has taken all the pressure off him.
“He’s a duck to water (in defence).”

AM: “I think he’s struggling and he’s been a warrior and magnificent player for the footy club and he’s a fine man.. but I think no.”
