The Eagles have settled on their 23-man team to face Essendon on Sunday
Lively West Coast Eagles recruit Tyler Brockman and versatile defender Josh Rotham have been confirmed as starting in the match against Essendon at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.
Ahead of the team’s departure for Melbourne today, Brockman and Rotham were locked in as inclusions alongside speedy wingman Jayden Hunt and co-captain Oscar Allen.
Brockman has served a club-imposed sanction for an off-field indiscretion and after displaying strong WAFL form over the previous month has earned a call up.
Rotham has also been rewarded after impressing last time out for the WAFL Eagles against Subiaco before the bye.
Secured via Hawthorn in the trade period last year, Brockman has a slice of class and dash and has excelled when used in the middle for the WAFL Eagles, helping to turn a game against Perth three weeks ago.
After settling on the line-up today, it means that Dom Sheed (hamstring), veteran wingman Andrew Gaff, hard-nosed midfielder Jai Culley and key defender Harry Edwards make way.
Named on the bench are Brockman, Campbell Chesser, Rotham, Jack Hutchinson and Bailey Williams with one of those players to start as the substitute.
Hutchinson will play his second game after being secured in the mid-season rookie draft.
