A teenage boy in Sydney’s north-west has been hit with 22 charges for allegedly breaking and entering homes to steal luxury cars and motorbikes.

Detectives were called to a home in Sydney’s Glenhaven where a Mercedes GLC and a Dodge Ram were allegedly stolen about 4:30am on June 10.

Authorities then reported to Oatlands about 14kms south after the Dodge Ram was spotted nearby a home which was allegedly broken into about 5:30am the same morning.

Here, the teenager allegedly stole eight pairs of luxury shoes worth about $14,000.

Police allege the Dodge Ram was then spotted after the break in and theft of three motorbikes at a store in Sydney’s south about 12:30am June 11.

Investigations continued after a BMW X6 was allegedly stolen on 17 June after the teen allegedly broke into a home on the lower north shore.

This vehicle was allegedly involved during a police chase in Sydney’s north west about 12.10am June 18.

Less than an hour later, the BMW was allegedly involved in the break in of a home in north-west suburb Kenthurst and then again during the break and enter of a home on Sydney’s lower north shore where a Mercedes was allegedly stolen.

Police were called to investigate the break in of a home in Sydney’s west on Friday where a Land Rover was allegedly stolen before it was recovered in Oakhurst about 7.40am that morning.

Officers then arrested a 17-year-old boy at a home in Rooty Hill about 9:40am Friday.

He faces 22 charges including seven counts of aggravated break and enter, stealing a motor vehicle, having his face disguised while committing the alleged offences and participating in a criminal group.

“Police will allege in court the teen was involved in all of the break ins, thefts and pursuit,” authorities said.

The boy was refused bail to appear at a children’s court on Saturday.
