The five teams under the most pressure heading into Round 13

Must read

SEN’s Dwayne Russell has named the five teams under the most pressure heading into Round 13.

Russell’s pressure meter ranks teams from 1-5, with number one having the most pressure on them and the most to lose heading into the round.

Check out Russell’s pressure meter below.

1. Melbourne
vs Collingwood – MCG – Monday

“I’ve got Melbourne number one on the pressure meter.

“10th on the ladder now. Embarrassed last week, season slipping away.

“This era, some say they should have won two flags but I think one’s great, they’re tough to win. I’m not of the Melbourne, ‘has to win two flags this era to be counted as a successful team’ crew.

“But they’ve been knocked out of the finals in straight sets the last two years.

“Melbourne does need to win.”

2. Adelaide
vs Richmond – Adelaide Oval – Thursday night

“I think Adelaide’s two.

“Enough with the bad luck excuse syndrome. Tonight’s the night.

“They’ve got to beat Richmond who are injury depleted, but Adelaide’s got a few out as well.

“Adelaide just has to win this one, so they’re two for me.”

3. Carlton
vs Essendon – MCG – Sunday night

“I’ve actually got Carlton at three.

“The Blues are almost expected to win the flag now.

“If they lose to Essendon, they then have the bye and then Geelong.

“I think there is a bit of pressure on Carlton, and I’ve got them at three.”

4. Collingwood
vs Melbourne – MCG – Monday

“I’ve got Collingwood at four.

“They’re ninth, they did win the flag last year. So, it’s not completely doom and gloom if they miss the eight this year.

“They do have North Melbourne next week. So, even if Collingwood lose this weekend, they’d have North as their next game.”

5. St Kilda
vs Gold Coast – Marvel Stadium – Saturday night

“I wouldn’t mind getting the Saints in there.

“I think they’re under more pressure than the Suns even though a lot of people are putting the Suns in the top five.”
