The design sat perfectly in the middle of her chest and at first glance could have easily been mistaken for a necklace, but on closer inspection it is clear that it is the newest addition to the star’s tattoo collection.

Arguably the most significant of her tattoos is her coordinates tattoo which features the coordinates of the location where each of her six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne were born.

While Jolie has not yet spoken about the meaning of her new tattoo, it can be assumed that the tattoo also holds significance for the star.
Commonly believed to be a symbol of love, loyalty and companionship, Jolie’s sparrow tattoo is perhaps a nod to the love she has for her family.
This love is something Jolie is not afraid to hide, often making public appearances with her children.
