The tiny detail that has everyone heading to Big W for new jeans

Big W fans are in a frenzy after noticing authentic Levi jeans on the shelves – and they are marked for just $79.

The iconic American-made jeans shave been popular in Australia for decades but this is the first time they’ve been offered at the budget store.

The jeans are $79 for men’s and $99 for women’s – and include the brand’s best selling signature and original 501 jeans.

One Aussie woman was so shocked after seeing Levi’s on the shelf that she took to TikTok to share the news. 

‘Umm, excuse me, am I late to the party, or is this new,’ she said.

‘When did Big W start selling Levi’s, and for $99, they even have the 501s which usually retail for over $150,’ she said. 

Others were just as shocked by the news. 

‘What! I am also late,’ a woman said. 

‘501s for $99 is wild,’ another woman said. 

‘OMG I was at Big W today and didn’t even have a look in the clothes section,’ a third said. 

One young Aussie was upset to miss out on the deal, having already shelled out $159.99 for her Levi’s jeans from Levi’s official Australian website.  

Fans of the old school label can choose between light blue, dark blue and black denim, available in women’s sizes 26-31.

The Levi’s jeans come in both the classic straight leg and skinny-leg style.  

Some people weren’t impressed with the price and thought that $99 for jeans in the current financial climate was just too much.

‘I think that’s still a little rich for my blood,’ one person said.  

Others argued that Levi’s have changed over the years. 

‘Levi’s have gone to trash quality, not surprised,’ one woman said.  

This isn’t the first time the Big W has shocked fans by stocking higher end labels.  

People were quick to share their favourites from the budget retailer’s designer brand fashion. 

‘They also have Adidas clothing, too,’ one woman said. 

‘Girl, Big W online had Gucci bags just recently,’ another said. 

Others had also spotted Nike, Puma, Birkenstock and Under Armour all being sold at Big W online. 

‘Big W is where brands go to pass away,’ one man joked.
