The official Champion Data Player Ratings attempt to measure impact above all else.
While some systems favour players that win a lot of possessions, the Player Ratings consider how players win the footy, where on the ground they win the ball and how they use it by hand and foot.
As well as overall impact per possession, the Player Ratings tend to favour those who are accurate in front of goal while judging inaccurate players harshly.
As a result, we’ve taken a look at which players have rated most highly on the system so far this year across 15 rounds.
We’ve listed the top 10 in terms of their average player rating this campaign, with most of them star midfielders playing for top eight teams.
