COAT TALE | Looking for a tailored coat to weather the cold yet still look polished? We have our eye on this sculptural longline style: its sharp collar, notched lapel and fitted silhouette – accentuated with side-tab details – give it a contemporary feel. But the colour and its ‘woven’, tactile texture make it stand out from the ubiquitous greys and blacks around this season. Renzo Fitted Coat in straw, $950, camillaandmarc.com
GLOW AND TELL | Most men find it hard to integrate bright hues into their winter wardrobe, so if you’re feeling trapped by the bog-standard blacks and blues about, let your accessories do the talking. You’ll feel like the king of neon with this duffle bag – it’s perfect for the gym or as a weekender (at 44 x 28.5 x 24.5cm). The fluorescent orange trim adds a touch of novelty to get you noticed. TRANSFER FREE | Michael Lo Sordo has built his Australian women’s and menswear fashion label around slinky silk-satin pieces, so it makes sense that the designer’s first venture in the beauty space should be three glistening body oils that hydrate and illuminate skin without risk of transferring grease spots to fabric. Infused with vitamins and antioxidants, they’re subtly scented and come in three tints: a pretty pearl, radiant-boosting soft gold, and beautiful bronze. $149 (100ml), michaellosordo.com
MALT MASTER | These days rarefied whiskies are on par with liquid gold, regardless of whether you’re purchasing to consume, invest or flip. A new release certain to whet connoisseurs’ tastebuds: Tasmanian distillery Sullivan Cove’s 24-year-old single cask whisky (HH0004) with its deeply floral, dark and treacly notes and nuances of anise and spice. Just 355 bottles were made, although an online draw has allocated most of them. A few remain, however, so get in quick. $2500, shop.sullivanscove.com
NO NAME | You don’t need the brand emblazoned on the dial to recognise this as a Cartier, namely the small Panthère model (30.3 mm x 22 mm). And who cares if the movement is quartz rather than complex cogs. Its allure comes from the gold case set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.23 carats and silvered sunray-brushed dial set with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling a further 0.12 carats. Yes, a forever piece, yours on a matching bracelet for $47,000. Inquiries 1800 130 000. Bani McSpedden.
