At least three homes have been lost and a man has been taken to hospital with significant burns in a major blaze that has engulfed four houses in Brisbane’s north.
A second person, believed to be a firefighter, is in hospital with minor burns, with a third person being treated in hospital for chest pain.
The Queensland Fire Department (QFD) said a fourth property had also suffered fire damage.
All occupants are out of the properties and accounted for.
Fire crews were called shortly after 2pm on Saturday, and there are seven fire trucks at Evelyn Street in Grange.
Videos from the scene show the street lined with emergency crews and a two-storey home gutted by fire.
QFD is warning people living nearby to keep their windows closed and to keep any respiratory medication close at hand.
Power to the street has been cut as a precaution.
Energex said the outage is affecting 24 customers.
