Although the shortest day of the year is going to be over by this weekend, the same can not be said about crisp mornings and rainy days.
Perth residents are in for a frosty start to Saturday, with a low of 11C at 6am and a maximum of 19C at 3pm.
A cold front is expected to arrive early in the morning but meteorologist Angus Hines said it “wont be particularly powerful”.
The South West can expect “showers and a possible thunderstorm with the chance of hail and gusty winds” according to Mr Hines.
Heavy rainfall is expected to drench the region, with 10-25mm of rain expected to fall in the early morning.
Perth is not in the clear, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting wet weather and 7-20mm of rain.
On Sunday you can put away your umbrella but keep your warmest jumper near as a low of 9C is expected at 6am in Perth and a high of 18C at 3pm.
Clouds will come and go on Sunday so enjoy the sun when it appears.
The rest of the week is looking similar with low temperatures and rainfall for Perth as we head towards the second month of winter.
