A woman, known as Megan Beasley, shared what she was sent after she ordered some clothes on TikTok. It’s fair to say the shopping experience was rather disappointing
A woman ordered some clothes on TikTok – and she claims it was a total fail.
Megan Beasley posted a video on TikTok to show exactly what she snapped up. She may have thought it was a bargain at first, but it turns out it was cheap for all the wrong reasons.
In the clip, she said ordering clothes from the TikTok shop is a little bit like a “roulette”. You never know what’s going to land, which means you could be handed pretty much anything when the delivery arrives.
Megan dubbed her latest haul a total shopping fail, as she thought she was being “dead clever” ordering a clothing set on the cheap. She admitted she didn’t go for a well-known brand – she just thought the price was “really cheap”.

Even though shopping on TikTok can pay off sometimes, she admitted it didn’t at all for her on this occasion. She showed people what a picture of the set looked like, and it featured jogger-style shorts and a matching T-shirt.
It came in a neutral colour. And at £18, she thought it’d make the perfect airport outfit – being both reasonably priced and comfortable.
That was until the outfit arrived, of course. Megan then showed the shorts that were delivered – and said the material gave her “year 8 PE shorts”. She also noted they were see-through, and said they had a “very peculiar smell”.
The savvy shopper was left “gutted”, as she didn’t think they were as described. She admitted the top wasn’t horrendous, but she was hoping to wear it to the airport soon to jet off on holiday.
As well as this, she said the material was “a bit itchy and scratchy”, which didn’t make her want to wear it. It was the shorts that really did it for her though as she said, when the light shines through, you can “see everything”.
Not exactly a look you want to rock as you board a plane, and many people seemed to agree. They were quick to share their thoughts in the comment section.
One person said: “Same here, mine are the same too, after waiting four weeks for them. What a waste of money.”
Another replied: “I’m sick of ordering and sending back.” A third added: “Omg yes, I bought the grey ones and they are shiny.”
Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “I got the grey. Kept the shirt, but sold the shorts on Vinted. The material for the shorts are awful and so unflattering. I thought exactly the same.”
