Even when he’s not playing, Draymond Green is getting under opponents’ skin.
This time, it was the Minnesota Timberwolves — again.
According to a report in The Athletic, the Timberwolves didn’t make any of its players available to TNT’s “Inside the NBA” following their Game 4 win on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks because the team was upset by Green’s comments about Rudy Gobert and others.
Green was serving as a panelist on the show and was critical of the play of Gobert, as well as Karl-Anthony Towns.
The Mavs subsequently gentlemen’s swept the Wolves in five games, and will be facing the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals beginning on June 6.
“The decision was a sign of support for Gobert and Towns, who were the subject of derisive and seemingly personal criticism” from Green, the report stated.
During the postgame show after the Mavericks Game 2 road win over the Timberwolves, Green was hearing “Draymond sucks” chants and responded, “Rudy sucks, not me. What did I do?”
Green has a history with Gobert and the Timberwolves.
Most recently, Green was suspended five games by the league for putting Gobert in a headlock in a game in November, a game in which Minnesota beat Golden State.
