Tourism New Zealand has invited Aussie travel sellers to enjoy a personally curated experience of Aotearoa New Zealand, as part of the Explore New Zealand Self-Famil Discount Programme.
Offering over 228 exclusive discounts across 25 regions, the incentive is designed to give agents the flexibility to explore New Zealand at their own pace, on the ultimate self-famil.
Travel sellers will be equipped with first-hand experiences that will grow their confidence in promoting New Zealand, and support creating robust itineraries for their clients.
The self-famil programme will enable travel sellers to curate a New Zealand experience that works best for them – from selecting their travel dates, determining the length of their stay, or leaning into new experiences to upskill their destination knowledge.
Experience the true manaakitanga (a Māori expression for hospitality and reciprocity) of New Zealand, while gaining a more wholistic understanding of the country’s iconic landscapes, food and beverage scene, ease of getting around, and culturally diverse offerings.

Once approved for the programme, Travel Sellers will gain access to the various Explore Programme discounts provided by Qualmark tourism businesses, and instructions on how to book their journey.
To be eligible for the Explore Programme, full-time Australian Travel Sellers must meet the following
requirements:
- Complete 10 x 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist Programme (NZSP) modules – an interactive way to help to elevate a Travel Seller’s and boost their confidence in selling holidays to New Zealand.
- Sign up to Tourism New Zealand’s Trade Newsletter and Facebook Group to receive news, product updates and opportunities for participation in future training.
