A young man has died following a workplace accident in rural Queensland

The man, 24, found unresponsive with life-threatening injuries at a business on Raglan Street in Roma, about 350km south of Toowoomba, at 2am on Friday. 

Despite the efforts of paramedics he was pronounced dead at the scene.

‘Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the non-suspicious death of a 24-year-old man at Roma overnight,’ police said in a statement. 

‘Emergency services were initially called to the Raglan Street address just after 2am, after the man was located unresponsive and was later declared deceased.

‘Police are assisting Workplace Health and Safety with their investigations.’
