Travis Kelce ‘BLOODIES spectator in celebrity golf tournament’

Must read

Travis Kelce‘s first round of the 2024 American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament proved to be about as dangerous as professional football.

The Kansas City Chiefs star shanked several shots into the Lake Tahoe crowd, one of which left a 20-something woman bloodied and in need of medical attention, according to People. Footage of the incident has not surfaced online.

Taylor Swift‘s boyfriend was on the 16th hole at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course when his drive struck the woman in the back of her head. One eyewitness told People that streaks of blood could be seen in her blonde hair.

Kelce did make the long walk into the crowd to check on her, and later joked that taking a picture with the woman was the least he could do. His brother and tournament rival, Jason, also checked on the woman, who reportedly said she was unsure which of the two Kelce brothers actually hit the errant shot.

Paramedics rushed to the scene to treat the woman, who remains unidentified. She was ultimately able to stand on her own after several minutes of sitting on the ground. Staff transported her off the course and play quickly resumed.

Spokespeople for the course and tournament did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for further information.

Kelce ended his first round tied with legendary pitcher Roger Clemens and SNL alum Colin Jost in 62nd place, which is a major departure from 2023 when he won the tournament.

Interestingly, Travis offered Jason some prescient advice on the event during a recent podcast episode.

‘This is my first time out in Lake Tahoe, do you have any advice?’ Jason asked Travis on an episode of New Heights.

‘My advice would be don’t feel bad if you hit somebody because they bought the ticket,’ Travis joked.

‘It’s a bunch of amateurs out there trying to play golf so don’t feel bad,’ Travis continued. ‘People have been hit before. They got EMTs, whatever it’s called, they got right there at every hole. Everybody will be fine.’

Turns out Travis was right.

Not only did he hit the aforementioned woman, but a Kelce tee shot also went into the crowd on the first hole, where it hit a man in the arm.

A video posted on X shows Kelce marching down the course with a sheriff before locating the fan who got hit by his shot. Upon meeting the gentleman dawning and bright blue button down, Kelce proceeded to shake his hand before leaning in to kiss his arm.

The apologetic gesture was met by laughs and cheers from the crowd at Edgewood Tahoe Resort.

Nevertheless, the Kelces attracted a stampede of fans as they made their way around the course. Aside from the brothers, a laundry list of NFL talents are also competing in the star-studded tournament.

Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield, Trevor Lawrence, Joe Flacco, and Kyle Juszczyk were among the field.

Additionally NFL legends – including Jerry Rice, Steve Young and Tony Romo – teed up alongside several TV and film stars.

Before Travis struck an audience member with his shot, Jason won the long drive contest ahead of the tournament. Travis won the event in 2023. However, Jason outhit everyone this year with a tee shot that traveled 322 yards.
