A trendy venue tucked away in a coastal suburb has been named the best pizza joint in the whole of Perth.
Pizzaca in Scarborough won the prestigious title of Perth’s Best Pizza after thousands of locals voted in 92.9 Triple M’s competition.
The neighbourhood eatery — loved by West Coast Eagles star Jake Waterman and radio personality Katie Lamb — was up against three other finalists; Matteo’s in High Wycombe, Tinos Pizza, Beeliar and Maestro Sourdough Pizza, North Beach.
“This was the closest vote so far with over 1000 votes coming through in the last 24 hours alone,” Triple M said.
Pizzaca Owner Kara Bizzaca told hosts Xav and Michelle they have created a community of pizza lovers with their successful business.
“We love the little community we have, sometimes our customers come in more than once a week!” Ms Bizzaca said.
Ms Bizzaca also revealed their unusual pizza that is nearly as popular as one of the world’s most common pizza flavours.
“It’s a hard one – we’ve had a few that have been around the 15 years we’ve been operating, the margarita is still popular, but also the satay!”
For winning the prestigious title, Pizzaca has been gifted an advertising package from 92.9 Triple M.
The competition is part of 92.9 Triple M Xav and Michelle’s search for the ‘Best of Perth’.
Last week, Alex Junior was named Perth’s best coffee shop and Last Crumb Cake Co took out the title of best bakery.
