TruGolf has launched a national franchising initiative to build golf-based FECs featuring its simulators named TruGolf Links.
Working with Franchise Well, a franchising consultancy firm, the company wants to open network of golf retail and gaming locations.
It is utilising the regional developer model, which allows investors to own a territory with a population of one million or more, in which it can own and operate a flagship location, while working as the company’s agent to sell and support independent franchisees in that area.
Plans for future are based around 5,000sq.ft venues that feature double-sized bays with stadium seating. Five simulator bays in total will be on offer, utilising TruGolf’s software and hardware. Alongside all of this will be a complete F&B offering and a range of arcade games.
TruGolf exhibited at the International Franchise Expo in New York City, US, last week to expose itself to the franchise market.
Chief development officer and certified franchise executive Dr Ben Litalien said: “The demand for indoor golf is driving the need for a world-class business model like TruGolf Links, a concept developed by avid golfers to meet the demands of players worldwide for golf anytime.
“An estimated 6.2 million Americans hit golf balls with a club in a golf simulator within the past year, a total that’s jumped 73 per cent compared to pre-pandemic levels, according to a new report from the National Golf Foundation.”
