Two men have died at the scene of a serious crash on Tasmania’s West Coast this afternoon.
The fatal incident on the Murchison Highway at Guildford was reported to emergency services just after 12:30pm on Friday.
Police said the two men were from Launceston and were travelling in a Mazda BT50 utility.
Their vehicle reportedly collided with a Toyota Hilux being driven by a woman from the state’s north-west.
She was taken to North West Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours as crash investigators pieced together the circumstances leading up to the incident.
“Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those affected by the crash,” police said.
“A report will be prepared for the coroner.”
