Ultimate Ears has introduced EVERBOOM, a new portable speaker designed to offer both durability and high-quality sound. In addition to the ALL-NEW EVERBOOM, the company has released updated versions of its well-known speaker models WONDERBOOM, BOOM, and MEGABOOM, incorporating recycled materials, enhanced acoustics, new colours, and USB-C charging ports.

EVERBOOM is designed for those with an adventurous lifestyle. It provides clear and robust 360-degree sound suitable for various environments, whether on a mountain hike or by the water. The device features an oval design, similar to the EPICBOOM model, with an optimised acoustic architecture that delivers louder sound in a compact size. It offers precision-tuned drivers for clear mids, highs, and deep bass.
The speaker is also equipped with an IP67 rating, ensuring it is waterproof, dustproof, and floatable, making it capable of enduring drops and water exposure. Additional features include a carabiner for attachment to bags or gear, a 55-metre Bluetooth range, and up to 20 hours of playtime. An Outdoor Boost button enhances bass and optimises sound for outdoor use, and a one-touch NFC feature enables quick Bluetooth pairing with NFC-compatible smartphones running Android 8.0 or later.
The new updates to the existing speaker models bring various enhancements. WONDERBOOM 4, BOOM 4, and MEGABOOM 4 are now made with 100% post-consumer recycled fabric. BOOM 4 and MEGABOOM 4 offer enhanced deep bass radiators for improved sound quality and increased use of recycled materials compared to previous models. WONDERBOOM 4 introduces a podcast mode for better listening experiences of spoken content.
The UE | BOOM app has added a new feature called Megaphone. This allows users to turn their smartphone and speaker into a megaphone by tapping the Megaphone button and speaking into the phone. The voice is then projected through the speaker, which can be useful for various scenarios, such as calling people to a dance floor or making announcements in open spaces. The Megaphone feature is available on all speakers and is compatible with the UE | BOOM app.
The company has emphasised sustainability in their latest products. The plastic parts of these speakers contain certified post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, with 58% for EVERBOOM, 31% for WONDERBOOM 4, 52% for BOOM 4, and 54% for MEGABOOM 4. The fabric used in all models is 100% PCR polyester, and the paper packaging is sourced from FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources.
Ultimate Ears EVERBOOM is priced at AUD $349.95, WONDERBOOM 4 at AUD $149.95, BOOM 4 at AUD $229.95, and MEGABOOM 4 at AUD $349.95. Pre-orders for these products are now available in Australia.
