US Open 2024 golf: How to watch live in Australia

The US Open 2024, the third major men’s golf championship of the year, will tee off at the Pinehurst No. 2 golf course in North Carolina on Thursday.

Six Australian golfersAdam Scott, Jason Day, Cam Davis, Min Woo Lee, Jason Scrivener and Cameron Smith – are set to compete at the 124th edition of the US Open. Live streaming and broadcast will be available in Australia.

The 43-year-old Adam Scott, who became the first Australian to win the Masters in 2013, will be making his 23rd appearance in the US Open and his 92nd straight in the majors.

Scott’s 23-year unbeaten streak of playing in every major began at the 2001 US Open. Currently ranked 61st, Scott’s best finish at the US Open was a T-4 at Chambers Bay back in 2015.

Former world No. 1 Jason Day, Australia’s top-ranked men’s golfer at 21st, is a two-time runner-up at the US Open and will make his 12th start at the major. The 2015 PGA Championship winner will enter the competition on the back of four top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this year.

Cameron Smith, the last Aussie to win a major at The Open in 2022, will be looking to go the distance after finishing fourth at the US Open last year. The world No. 70 Australian golfer will be making his ninth start at the major.

Min Woo Lee, Australia’s No. 2 at world No. 36, finished T-5 at the US Open last year. At 25, Lee is the youngest of all the six Australians and will look to better his standing at Pinehurst.

World No. 68 Cameron Davis missed the cut last year and will be making his second US Open appearance. Jason Scrivener, ranked 369th, will feature at the US Open for the first time since missing the cut in 2018.

The elite field at Pinehurst includes American great and three-time US Open winner Tiger Woods, defending champion Wyndham Clark, the reigning Masters champion Scottie Scheffler, the 2024 PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele, five-time major winner Brooks Koepka and former US Open champions Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy.
