Dolphins five-eighth Anthony Milford could be facing a stint on the sidelines after an “absolute rubbish” moment in his side’s clash with the Raiders.
The former Brisbane man was placed on report by referee Adam Gee after Canberra fired a pass to left centre Seb Kris, who carried the ball toward Milford.
What seemed like a regulation tackle quickly turned into a penalty before Milford was called forward by the match official.

Turning to face Jeremy Marshall-King, standing in as Dolphins captain after Jesse Bromwich was forced from the field with injury after two minutes, referee Gee stated “so far we’ve had a good, clean game.”
Gee then turned toward the Dolphins No. 17, pointed at him and said: “That’s absolute rubbish on the ground. You’re on report [for] head in on the ground.”
Replays would later reveal Milford subtly driving his head into Kris’ as the pair were on the ground in action.

Fox League commentator Dan Ginnane described it as the five-eighth “using his head as a press”.
Milford’s former teammate Corey Parker commented: “That’s an, um, interesting one”.
The Dolphins were penalised for Milford’s actions and from the next set Canberra captain Elliot Whitehead powered over Herbie Farnworth to give his side the lead.
