A police report has revealed Justin Timberlake’s condition after his DWI arrest in New York on Monday and his reluctance to cooperate.
Subsequent to the 43-year-old failing a sobriety test, Timberlake was taken to Sag Harbor Village Police Department where it is said he refused a breathalyser test, reports the Daily Mail.
“No, I’m not doing a chemical test. I refuse. I refuse,” Timerblake was reported as saying.
The father of two — who’s married to actress Jessica Biel — was detained after police witnessed him driving through a stop sign in his BMW X7 after a night out with friends in the area.
Officers intervened when they saw the the Mirror singer and former NSYNC member’s car veering across the road, noting his physical state as being an “intoxicated condition”.
Further descriptions of the performer observed he had “bloodshot and glassy” eyes, slowed speech, had trouble maintaining attention and smelled of alcohol.
After a brief court appearance, he received a year-long driving ban within the State of New York, the singer was released without bail, seen leaving court downcast in a baseball cap.
A source told New York Post Timberlake was “wasted” before being pulled over, and is believed to have swiped a drink from the table of another patron at swanky venue The American Hotel.
“He was wasted. At one point, just before closing, somebody got up to go to the bathroom and left his drink on the table,’’ the source said.
“When (the man) came back, (Timberlake) was drinking his drink.
“The guy goes, ‘Justin, that’s my drink!’”
This setback comes in the middle of the the multi-Grammy award winner’s world tour — with a planned show at New York’s Madison Square Garden scheduled for next week.
