Some of the Jackson area’s top high school basketball seniors are in action one more time.
The West Tennessee All-Star basketball games are set for Saturday at TCA. The girls game tips off at 5 p.m. and the boys game follows, at approximately 6:30 p.m.
All-Star nominations were made by area media and coaches. The teams were split by geographic location of the players’ respective high schools.
Here’s what you need to know about the games this weekend.
Players to watch in West Tennessee All-Star basketball games
The All-Star game has one 2024 state champion playing on the girls side. Dyersburg’s Netala Dixon is on the roster for the North team after helping the Trojans to the Class 3A state championship, the first in school history.
Other TSSAA state tournament qualifying players are set to play. Chester County’s Jariyah Williamson, Huntingdon’s Lilly Kee, South Fulton’s Anna and Aubree Gore, South Gibson’s Hallie Allen and Natalie Lewis and South Side’s Kimora Currie are all set to play in the game.
The boys game is loaded with several All-West Tennessee team members, including the player of the year in Union City’s Malaki Brooks after averaging 28.2 points in 35 games with the Golden Tornadoes.
Other boys players in the All-Star game from the All-West Tennessee teams include Bolivar’s Kylan McNeal, Jackson Christian’s Ayden Shaw, Ripley’s Ja’Marcus and Ja’Marion Whitelow and Sacred Heart’s AJ Morman.
Who’s coaching the West Tennessee All-Star teams?
On the girls side, Jackson Central Merry’s Jeremy Simmons is coaching the South team with Liberty’s Brian Lake working as an assistant. Humboldt’s coaching staff led by Terrell Green and assisted by Chandra Maclin and Malik Cross will coach the North team.
For the boys, Jackson Christian’s Kyle Teichmann will coach the South team with South Gibson’s Drew Pirtle as an assistant. Haywood’s staff of coach Rodney Chatman and assistant Tyler Morton will coach the North team.
When are the West Tennessee All-Star basketball games?
The West Tennessee All-Star basketball games begin with the girls game at 5 p.m. on Saturday at TCA. The boys game begins at 6:30 p.m., approximately.
Admission is $10 and gets fans into both games. No passes are accepted, concessions will be available.

The West Tennessee All-Star basketball game will be livestreamed by West Tennessee Sports on its Facebook page.
The stream is set to go live at 4:50 p.m. ahead of the girls game at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
