Must read

Which players should have been given coaches votes for their Round 17 performances?

Champion Data’s Daniel Hoyne has named the five players who were perhaps overlooked by the coaches on the weekend.

The below guys ranked high in Champion Data’s ratings yet did not receive any votes.

See the players below:

Tom Powell (North Melbourne)

“Highest rated player for North Melbourne v Gold Coast, he didn’t get a vote,” Hoyne said on SEN’s Sportsday.

“That was his best game since Round 3. A really balanced game.”

Mark Blicavs (Geelong)

“Didn’t get a vote but was the fifth highest rated player.

“Interested to see his role on the weekend. He played 75 per cent wing time. “

Luke Jackson (Fremantle)

“Second highest rated player on the ground, didn’t get a vote from the coaches.

“Career-high pressure game on the weekend.”

Alex Neal-Bullen (Melbourne)

“Third highest rated player on the ground, didn’t get a vote.

“Fourth best game for his season. 20 disposals, nine score involvements.

“He’s having a really good year.”

Jack Sinclair (St Kilda)

“This bloke continues to fly under the radar.

“Third highest rated player on the ground – Jack Sinclair didn’t get a vote on the weekend.

“He attended 21 centre bounces but then went behind the ball. He had 21 of his 28 touches behind the footy.”
