Shocking images have captured the moment police threatened to taser a man on a Virgin Australia flight who was allegedly being aggressive and disruptive behaviour, as other stunned passengers watched on.
There are reports a Jetstar plane has veered off the runway at Christchurch Airport in New Zealand.
There are no reports of injuries at this stage.
Sky News understands the incident happened as flight JQ225 landed in Christchurch from Auckland.
In a video obtained by Seven News, three police officers speak to the man and repeatedly order him to get off the flight.
Other passengers appear fed up during the ordeal with one of them saying “everyone’s had enough”.
A male officer continues to ask the man to leave his seat and get off the plane.
A female officer then warns him he would be arrested if he did not get off the flight.
“I’m going to give you a stun with the taser, are you ready for it,” the male officer could be heard then saying.
“You need to get off the flight now,” he said.
The man responds by asking what he has done.
“I’m going to give you one more warning to get off the flight,” the male officer said.
The officers eventually get the man out of his seat and take him off the plane with passengers watching on.
