Emma Raducanu will be aiming to dethrone Marketa Vondrousova after being awarded a wildcard to compete.
Wimbledon 2024: Prize money
The prize money for the 2024 event has risen almost 12 per cent from last year’s tournament.
Tennis’ biggest stars will now be competing for a cut of £50million.
The men’s and women’s singles champions will each receive £2.7million with the runners up collecting £1.4million.
Semi-finalists will take home £715,000 while players just reaching the first round will receive £60,000.
The doubles champions will win £650,000 while the mixed doubles winners will earn £130,000.
Wimbledon 2024: How to follow
The 137th edition of Wimbledon will begin on Monday, July 1.
The tournament will run all the way until the weekend of July 13 and 14 when the women’s and men’s singles finals take place.
Play on the outer courts will get going at 11am each day while the show courts get underway at 1pm.
Wimbledon will be broadcast live and free-to-air in the UK.
It will be shown across the BBC network on BBC One, BBC Two and online on BBC iPlayer.

The main draw for Wimbledon will take place on Friday, June 28.
It will be held at SW19 and fans can watch the men’s and women’s singles draw from 10am on wimbledon.com.
