Windstar Cruises celebrated 50 top Virtuoso travel advisors by taking them on a cruise through French Polynesia.

Last month, Virtuoso Cruise Icons—who represent the top 1 percent of cruise sales for Virtuoso globally—joined WIndstar president Chris Prelog aboard the Star Breeze for a week-long trip in the South Pacific. Other members of the Windstar team also joined the sailing, including Dianna Rom, vice president of sales, and Gina McGinnis, director of sales.

“We were delighted to welcome Virtuoso Cruise Icons to one of my personal favorite destinations, French Polynesia,” says Prelog. “It was a wonderful week supporting our travel advisor community while showcasing the best of Windstar in this unique destination where we’ve been operating for more than 37 years.”

The travel advisors enjoyed special celebrations, like a private event at the presidential palace, welcome entertainment at each port and hosted dinners and meetings with executives from Virtuoso, Air Tahiti Nui, Tahiti Tourisme and Lux Wines. The 50 Cruise Icons who joined the sailing hail from Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Also this week, Windstar announced that its new winter Mediterranean cruises will star in a new episode of the award-winning weekly television series “Traveling with Denella Ri’chard.” Filmed aboard the Star Legend as it sailed from Barcelona to Rome, the episode begins airing July 13.
